Hey, Misty!
Was sorry to hear about Russ but hope his family is doing alright considering.
How is school going for everybody? Drew started last week at Vestavia East. It was a big adjustment going to full days for him, but I know he's having a great time with all the new kids. There are three in his class who were at Lakeside with him...luck of the draw, but how lucky for him.
I hope you and everybody are doing well. I'm praying for y'all. Keep in touch. Would love to chat one day soon.

So very sad to hear about Rus, he and his family will definitely be in our prayers, along with George as well. Cancer is such an awful battle! Praying that he can beat it like I did!! It seems so many of us are losing loved ones lately. :-(

Misty,

I am so sorry to hear about Rus. As you know he did some beautiful carpentry on the house that we renovated on 40th street. What a talented carpenter he is. It is so hard to believe how quickly he went from running around loving life to being near death. Thanks again for reminding me to "enjoy this moment". It truely is the only one we have.Ethan loved playing with Will last week. Krystal, our summer nanny wears her braclet every day.

We love you,

So glad you had a wonderful trip! The Wiggles are so cool, Jesse still loves the Hot pototo song...I think it was the first song he learned of theirs. I think of what a great sister Nicole is quite often. She has a special place in my heart. Will is so blessed to have her!

Hi Will,
I wanted to tell you about a turtle that lives in my back yard named Henry. He eats grass and lots and lots of flowers that I grow for him. He is about the same size as a bowling ball (pretty big!). I will try to figure out how to send you some pictures of him but until then your daddy can see the kind of turtle he is on this website http://africantortoise.com/sulcata.htm

Have a great day,

Sorry we missed you guys at the lake. Ashley had her wisdom teeth cut out on Wednesday and wasn't up to staying for the weekend. I took a friend of mine down Saturday for an hour to look at a trailer that is for sale on the water. Hope she buys it. Brooks has a virus, Kristin thinks he got it at the pool. Hope Louis had a wonderful Fathers Day. I think mom is planning on coming to the lake this weekend with you guys. She is excited to see her new room. It will be good for mom to be able to spend some time with the kids. See ya this weekend. carol

Hi Misty,

I'm sorry i missed the benefit walk donation cut off time. I received your letter from Michelle and then it got buried under stacks of other mail and papers. It resurfaced today when i sorted stacks.

I hope the fundraiser was successful for you. I think of you often and send positive thoughts your way. You may be interested in taking Will to Dr. Bob Apol who can perform a test to find what a person needs nutritionally. He may be able to help Will. His no. is 251-1251. I was tested and was found that i need to stay away from wheat and sugar. I was having persistent diarhea before test. I have it no longer and have tons of energy, sleeping better and thinking more clearly.

I will pray for your friend as well as you and Will.

Take care,

Hey, Misty! I'm so glad y'all had a good turnout and a good time at the yard sale...it had to be just hotter than blazes! I left a big ol' box of stuff for you toward the back of the parking lot, since the trailer had been removed from its space. Anyway, hope you got it and were able to sell some of it and use the funds for MPS research.

It was great seeing everyone at the sale on Saturday. Our daughter, Lily bought a pair of 'Lil Bratz' PJ's. We got them home and she tried them on and they were too little for her. Lily said, 'That's OK, Mommy...our money is helping the people that are finding a way for Will to get better soon". That was pretty powerful coming from a 6 year old. She told our friends yesterday all about going to the sale and how our money is helping Will. We love ya'll. Tina, Donna, Lily & Oliver

I am so pleased to meet you all through the newsletter you sent home with the Lakeside kids. Two of my 3 kids are at Lakeside, and we received the newsletter about the Charity Yard Sale in their backpacks. We got together a few thing for the sale and left them at the trailer. I wish you much success with the fundraising!. You are now in my thoughts and prayers, both for Will's wellbeing and for a cure for MPS in general. I had not heard of this disorder before, and I am so happy that you are doing your best to raise awareness. That, after all, is how a cure can finally be found. God bless you in all of your efforts, and God bless Will. We hope to meet this incredible little boy one day!

Misty,

Mother's Day was wonderful. The greatest joy in my life is being a mother...being a sister and an aunt run a close second and third. We are looking forward to a busy May. Will has brought us together is such a wonderful way. The bake sale/garage sale has helped me jump start my Spring cleaning. The walk/run has helped me jump start my exercising. Plus we will get together at least 2 times this month. One day we will start that "family night " weekly that we have been talking about for years now. My office has already donated for the run...I will get it to you this week.

Dear Misty,

It is so great that you feel that way. Keep up the love and appreciate your family daily. Without them, you are absoutely right, we are nothing. I lost my mom about ten years ago, and I try to always remember the love she left behind through her children. Happy Mothers Day to all the wonderful mothers who have been blessed by their children, and pray that the search for a cure is just around the next corner.

With love to you and your family,

Hello Luthcke family, I pray for you all, as a family, daily. Your family is an inspiration to me. The adults are dealing wtih the diagnosis and the children are going about their business. Will has a perpetual smile and Nicole is Nicole. She is a solid rock in the wall of life. She will not falter because she loves her family and most especially her brother. I pray for childlike faith and hope. Thank you God for Nicole and the Luthcke family. Will is blessed and we are blessed in knowing him. He is a very special child and anyone who is touched by his smile is changed....for the better. I pray we all have a moment to understand Will and are changed by what we feel.

Dear Willzbear...you are so special to me and have given my life a whole new meaning...I love you very much. You know that you had me wrapped around your finger from the very first time that you flashed that dazziling smile at me. Thank you Misty and Louis for allowing me to be a part of a wonderful, loving family. Misty,
I was walking out of Target today and noticed a sign they have up. They pledge 5% of thier earnings to local charities. That was $3million last week they say. I am so impressed....soooo while it might not be $3mil....I pledge 5% of my earnings this year to the research for Will's disorder. Let me know where I need to send the checks. Put it up here on your site and maybe someone else will be compelled to do the same. I love you all so much.

Being the straight forward, candid person that you are, one thing we know for sure... she didn't misunderstand what you told her. She disregarded what you told her. That is inexcuseable. If the "teachers" don't understand the situation, they should be expected to research it. And they should be held accountable. For both their lack of information and/or their disregard. Thankfully, Will treats every minute like a new experience and he won't hold the grudge that I would... and that you will. Hang in there! Love,

Hey Misty,

I think you know my opinion on this subject. You probably handled it better than I would have. Will is your child and you are the one who dictates how Will is disciplined. You are absolutely correct!! If you have no say in how the school would handle this situation then you should have been informed of this. I love you all dearly and I wish I was there to be able to help you with all of this. Keep up the good fight!

Maybe the teacher just does not understand the circumstances...I am sure the teacher would not want her child treated the same way...I have never had to restrain Will for any reason nor would I ever...These things hurt the parents more than the childern...Hang in there...I believe things happen for a reason it will work out better this way... With LOVE, Bryan, Angie & family...

Misty,

I am shocked about the teacher's behavior. I can't imagine that it took TWELVE minutes for Will to calm down. The few times that I have kept Will, without you there, he has been an energetic angel. Diversion is the best tactic. I do believe when God closes a door that He will open a window. Let's keep a look out for Will's wonderful window. The new pictures are great. I am excited that Ethan and I are on the page !

Misty--

I am appalled by this! You are right on for removing him from that woman's care. She should have researched Will's illness and became educated on what would work and what would not. And she should NEVER touch your child when you told her it was unacceptable. Good luck with the homeschooling help! Let me know if you need any help finding info/tools, etc. My cousin is a teacher and has lots of insight/materials if you need them! Hope everything works out best in the long run! Hang in there and give the kids kisses from us!

Misty,
Short and sweet!! This si totally unexceptable punishment for Will in a school setting. He should have a 1:1 aide who is assigned to him and him only. The only tactics that will work, is swift correction of a firm NO, then diversion.. but most of all, our l=kids need to move about, they cannot sit for extended times of more than 10 -20 minutes in most cases without expressing behavior that they want to ge tup and go. Jesse teacher recently provided him with a hard foam type brick, attached to a 18 inch string and tied to the front of his desk. When he become aggitatated for a short term sitting, he can take his brick and smack it on the desk or chew it and or throw it since it is tied. If he doesn't change his beahior in 5 minutes of getting that, then he can go for a walk with his aide. He walks aroind the school halls at least 6 x a day!!

Diversion and moving about are important with only short focused positive instruction!

Last time I saw Laura, it was very hard to see her being so sick. I just keep reminding myself that she is at peace now and we will see her again. She will be looking young and energetic just like the last time we served her a pizza at Papa Joe's. Here is another reminder for us to enjoy the day...to encourage and uplift one another...none of us ever know. You are certainly a center of love...always doing for others and giving of yourself. Hope you are feeling better. I look forward to seeing you, Will, Nicole, and Louis this weekend.

Happy birthday Will!!! I wish I could figure out a way to box up all this snow we have in Iowa and send it your way for your Birthday!!!!

Misty ~ MPS is cruel. It plays with your emotions and toys with your faith. Even on my best days... it creeps in my mind. But don't let this disease pave your path of life. Our kids our a gift....Even when I am in the worse mood, all Lucas has to do is slobber on my cheek (or what ever part of my face his aim hits ~sometimes it is my ear) and bat those big brown eyes and I am better in an instant. I try to cherish each second.......the good , the bad, the kisses full of slobber!!!

Happy Birthday Will!!! I hope you enjoy your special day, and I know that if you're like my Luke, you will certainly enjoy the CAKE!! That is -- without a doubt -- Luke's favorite part!

Misty -- I promise it does eventually become easier to accept. But, like you are having to experience this year, every birthday we've celebrated since Luke's diagnosis, we've had this "THING" hanging over our heads. Just knowing that we have limited time helps us to keep things in perspective and to NOT take Luke (or his unaffected sister, Sarah) and the time we have with them for granted! Consider that part a blessing!

Luke's 5th birthday was also our first w/ diagnosis. I certainly know where you're coming from! Hang in there. You will learn so very much from Will. He truly is a gift from God!

Happy birthday, again, Will! With love from Luke and his family!

Hi, Misty! I stumbled on your website via Lucas Montgomery's site. Glad to find ya'll! I, too, have a son with Sanfilippo. Luke is 8 1/2 and doing quite well. He was diagnosed 10/3/03. We live just outside of B'ham in Moody, and I'd love to meet you! Someone told me shortly after Luke was diagnosed that I would be amazed at the number of blessings that would come out of this. Of course, my first reaction was, "How dare you tell me there will be blessings from this death sentence!" However, as time passed, I realized how true those words were. We're so blessed in so many ways, thanks to Luke. While life is sometimes difficult and always challenging, I wouldn't trade it for anything. He has taught me so very much.

If you would like to meet, send me a note and we'll plan something. Okay? :)

Uncle Mickey and I had so much fun Saturday playing T-Ball with you at the lake. You sure can use that bat and hit that ball far. Wish we could have visited on Sunday, but the boat was almost out of gas. We are looking forward to the next time we get to go to the lake. Sunday night we had to take Mike to the emergency pet clinic. Don't worry, by the time we got to the clinic he was just fine. They couldn't find anything wrong with him. Thank you so much for your prayers and concern for our Lucas! All I can say is he has many Angels watching over him and listening to our prayers. His turnaround has left me overwhelmed with emotion. It means that I have to now work twice as hard on the awareness piece and fundraisers for MPS research. I believe that is what we are meant to do. Families should not have to endure the heartwrenching progression of this disorder..........

Hopefully Will will begin to accept his hearing aids...it took Lucas several YEARS...but I know it will not take your little guy that long. He is so adorable!

Misty,

The holidays that we all shared were wonderful. I received a gift from Will , he reminds me ...to enjoy this second. Years ago I read "A Man's Search for Meaning" by Victor Frankel. He wrote that his experience in the concentration camp "was wounding yet enriching at the same time". I believe this illness brings the same double edged sword. I have relished every minute spent with Will. I also have felt an intense thankfulness daily for my son's health, smiles, kisses, accomplishments.....Thank you for being so strong and sharing with us the true meaning of the holidays.

Love always,

Hello!~ I was directed to Will's website through Patty! She was right...Will is ADORABLE!!

Stay strong. We have faith and hope that our fight for a cure is just around the corner. Our son Lucas is 10. He has sanfilippo - b and we have been using genistein for over a year. He has not regressed. We have only seen improvements in many areas...cognitively,socially and behaviorally. I know how hard it is to stay strong for Will's siblings...we have 3 older girls who are not affected. I always make excuses to why I can't watch old videos of Lucas when he is younger. I don't want them to see me sad. I want them to see me positive and strong...doing everything I can to help our (MPS) kids !! Big hugs!!!

We all had a wonderful Christmas. Will and all the family came to our house on Christmas Eve night. He was a little gentleman all night, but was too excited to eat very much. After we ate we all opened gifts. Later,Will, Connor (Will's cousin) and I played games in the basement, and of course we played with Mike and Enzo (the family dogs), Will's buddies. Misty, Good morning. As I read the entries and guestbook I cry but am filled with hope for you. The families across the country who share this seem to be wonderful. I am encouraged for you and the information exchange and just the words of pure love and hope. I feel as Cooper's mother does everyday is to cherish. I know the thought of the future and his pain never leaves your mind but when he says "Santy Claus" I hope that fades away for awhile...just seeing him light up when I come in is something that makes my heart soar. I love you all so much and am always here or there if you need me. Please don't hesitate.

Dear Misty,

As I read your journal entries, I find myself shaking my head in agreement. I too, am walking down this road of MPS III A with my 3 year old son Tyler who was just confirmed in Aug 07. Looks like we were at Duke 2 weeks before you.

Misty, I know firsthand there is nothing I can say to you to make the pain, despair and grief go away. I myself experience ups and downs everyday. I have found strength through other MPS families and sounds like you will too. Keep the hope and faith.

As for the Christmas tree dÈcor, I had a similar incident today. As I unwrapped small trinkets I had gotten for Tyler last year before we knew I felt complete discouragement. How can I do this I thought? Then I read another MPS Momís journal entry about how much she enjoyed seeing her son pulling on the tree and she made me realize if you lose an ornament, or pull down the decorations, they are only things. Youíre not at a loss; youíll gain memories so make them happen today.

Misty,

I just read your most recent journal entry, and I am grieved at what you are having to go through. There is nothing worse or more painful in this world. And I know the holidays are making it even harder. I pray for you, Will, Nicole, and Louis every day, and will continue to do so. I will keep praying for a cure and a miracle. Will is the most precious child, and we will never be able to comprehend why this has happened. We love you all so much. My mom or I would love to take or pick Nicole up from school anytime. I am sure there are many days when you don't even feel like leaving the house. I also just read about the magazine fundraiser. I am going to definitely order some magazines. I wish there was more that I could do. Love, Amy

Misty.
Thanksgiving day was so full of love, warmth and compassion in your home. What a beautiful life you have and share with all of us.Will and Nicole have an enchanted life. A better life than any child could wish for...Loving, attentive parents, every toy imaginable and an extended family that love and care for them deeply too.

I do believe that God will give you the strength you need at the moment you need it. If you ever have a day that is too much to bear PLEASE KNOW THAT I AM HERE FOR YOU. You are surrounded with friends and family that love you and are very concerned for you. It is truly unthinkable of what you must endure in the future. My heart breaks for you as a mother and caretaker. I pray for a healing miracle every day.

Lovingly,

We had such a good time on thanksgiving day. Thanks for all your hard work. I can only imagine how emotional it would be to cope with all that is going on. Cherish each hour of this day for it can never return. (Og Mandino)... With love, Bryan, Angie, Amelia, Dawn, David & Dawson...

Cooper's mom has the right attitude of living for today. I know it is so hard not to think of what the future holds, but God can perform miracles and we have to keep on praying for a cure. Cherish every moment every holiday. Will was such a joy to be with Thanksgiving. He may not be able to vocalize his thoughts with words, but all you have to do is look into those big smiling eyes and see all the love in the world in them. He is such a happy child and is very aware of everything around him. Love Aunt Carol

You guys are so inspiring. What a great reminder that it is all about love. We are so glad you had such a great Thanksgiving Day. Just seeing all of you together in the car in the parking lot at school the other day, Will had a great big smile and he was so attentive to us. What a reminder that "it is not about me". Nicole is such a strong, sweet big sister. Remember to call if you ever need help to and from school or anything else. Thoughts and prayers to you everyday. May the Peace of God continue to be with you always.

Misty, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Its so good to be back on your website and seeing all the love from so many. I want you to know that you and your family stay in my prayers and are an inspiration to so many lives. I know that Lou looks down and smiles. I miss you all so much. Its been too long. Heather, David, J.D. and Piper arrived back from China last night with Kai, who will be 3 in March 2008. He doesn't speak English, we don't speak Chinease but we all speak "love" so everything will be great. You set a day that will be good and lets all get together. I haven't seen Rebecca since the last time we were together. I do stay in touch with Michele. I love you all. Jaye

I too am a Mother of a Sanfilippo child. His name is Bryce. I saw your entry in Coopers guest book, you may have already heard of my son.

I find it adds to our strength in reaching for a cure for this horrible disorder.... the more information we share the closer the researchers can fulfill the HOPE we carry together.

Each day is a Blessing with our children. May we live the lives we have together with them filled with happy moments to treasure.

Misty-I am so glad Cooper's website has helped and inspired you. I didn't want to do it at first, but after reading the journals that proceeded us, I knew I had to help other families too. I can't tell if you are going through with transplant or not, but I do know there is NO right answer. I have also learned that not everyone needs to live 80 years to make an impact on the world. Some people are so amazing they can do it in 8! There will be plenty of time to mourn the loss of your child when he is gone, so for now we have to LIVE every single day to the fullest with HOPE. Please know many have walked this path before us, and lean on them when you need to. As for you and I with 4 year olds, we can walk it together.

Thank you for coming by the fire station today and sharing Will's information with us. We will keep him in our thoughts and prayers at all times. Please let Him know that he is welcome to come visit us at the station and see the trucks ANYTIME he wants to. If there is anything the NSFD can do please let us know, no matter how small it may seem, we will be more than happy to help out.

Wow, that was so easy. I am a little slow at computer stuff...usually. I just went to the top of this page and clicked on links and ordered a magazine...it took 90 seconds. This is a wonderful way to help ! You are amazing at what you can find time to do with your exhausting days. I am so in awe of what you get accomplished. Ethan and I are looking forward to the hayride. Keep on pushing forward.

Hi Misty,

Thanks for stopping by Jesse's page.. I love coming by to visit new websites. Will looks wonderful. Jesse had many many words at one time also. I remember it all so well. He did so well until about 5 or 6 years old. This is when we saw little things slipping away for the next 4 years. Then THANK GOD for genistein!! It has basically stopped the disease in it's tracks for the past 2 years. We've even seen some improvements! It's not a cure, but it is buying us time while looking for a cure!

Give Will hugs from Jesse and I. Praying your fundraiser goes well also!

Misty, I'm so sorry you were having a bad day today. There is nothing anybody can say to comfort you, you are living any mother's worst nightmare. Just know that there is a hand when you need one to hold or to help you get back up when this disease has pulled you down, there is an ear to listen when you need to talk , there is a voice that will talk you through the chaos, and there is a shoulder when you need to cry. Look around you. You are surrounded by family and friends that will be anything you need. Let me know if I can do anything. Kandi

We hope Will is recovering and healing from surgey nicely. We pray that everything went good at the hospital on Friday. We are always thinking of you guys. Call me for anything. I know he is precious to so many people. He is well loved as are all of you. We approach the throne of God boldy and pray for complete healing from his disease.

Just a quick 'hang in there' note to you all! We are thinking about you and saying prayers. I met a mom who reminds me of you, Misty. Her little boy has Muscular Dystrophy - they go thru so much everyday. The two of you have the same sort of resolve and love only moms going through this sort of thing can understand. She mentioned that she's lost a few friends b/c they don't know what to say, so they just stop calling. I don't want to be that type of friend. And judging by all the love poured into this website by family and friends, you have a beautiful circle of people around your family. You all will never be alone!!

I am Will's Aunt Sharon. I just want to say how very proud of my little angel I am. He battles this disorder every day and always has a huge smile on his face for everyone he sees. He plays, goes to school, rides his 4 wheeler and does many of the things that any other child would do. He is able to do things that you wouldn't think he could do. I pray everyday that a cure will be found in time. He is my little champion, my hero, my littlest angel my Will and he holds my heart in his little hands.

Hi Misty,

I am Janis Brush. I scheduled and tested Will at Special Services Center. I remember Will's beautiful smile and his boundless energy. We talked about growing up in the same area of town. I wanted to tell you how proud I am of you for persevering in your quest to find out what was wrong with Will. And while the answer is not the one any Mom wants, you now know to make the most of each moment, something many of us take for granted. If there is anything I can do for you or Will, please let me know. I appreciate your courage and strength in sharing your story with all of us. Good luck

With all you are going through, you STILL managed to make me laugh when I saw you yesterday at the high school. I saw so much strength mixed in with the pain in your eyes. Hugs to you, Nicole, Will and Louis. Let's just get on our 4-wheelers and go for a ride, ok?!

Tears stream down my cheeks as I read your entry today. I swear our mother was a saint. Sometimes I think she is reunited with her mother and grandmother that she loved so much. If this life really is a blink of an eye...we will see them all again soon. If Will gets there before us...you know he will be adored, loved and cared for. I'm in tears after reading their messages. I've missed you, Nicole and Will this summer. We had all these plans to get together, and here we are with only two weeks until school. Misty--I have cried for days thinking about will. When I heard my first response was to drive right over and be there. There has been so many nights that I have wanted to call...God I miss you!! This is not right... not Will! I remember the two weeks at the beach the fun we had just you and me and the kids. The daily bond that you and I and the kids formed... Memories that will last for ever. Will is so wonderful and can melt anyone with his beautiful eyes and smile. Savannah so misses Nichole she talks about Disneyworld all the time. I have had some life changing experiences this year and have learned to lean on a higher power. You and your family are in my thoughts everyday. I think you know how I feel... the bond that we had can never truely be broken. Please allow me to help....I love you....Kim

Hi Misty,

It is your old neighbor - Tracy Gossett (Hoadley). It is a bit of a long story how I came to know about Will and all you are going through. The common link is Catherine Crabtree, who is in my Sunday School class. When I put two and two together, I was so saddened to figure out that the little boy I was praying for was actually your little boy. Catherine emailed me that you had a site about Will and I took a stab at finding it. What adorable pictures! I got your cell number from Catherine but obviously don't want to disturb you this week. I just had to let you know that I am thankful I have found you again and I would love to see you and meet Will. I will continue to pray dilligently for Will, you and your family.

Misty- We are all thinking about you and Will. This will be a difficult week for both of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Know that everything is fine in B'ham, and that we will continue to be here for your family. Even though it feels like it, know that you are not on this journey alone. There will be things that only you can do, please allow others to help with the rest. We love you guys! Kandi

I am so glad Craig is able to be there with you. Please give him my love. Misty, it sounds like these test must be so hard for you and Will. Maybe you have the worst ones behind you. I want you to know I think of you all each day and pray every night. I love you and yours so much. Thanks for keeping all of us in the loop. This is such a nice idea. Love forever, Jaye

Misty,

Before E had to have his spinal tap a doctor told me " he will not remember this and you will never forget it " Try to be strong for sweet little Will. I really believe he lives "in the moment", and will not dwell on the unpleasantness of today. Will is so lucky to have such a devoted and loving mother. Tell uncle Craig "happy birthday." We love you all 3. We in Birmingham are all praying for you constantly .

Misty,

I wish you the best of luck in NC. Will is such a precious child and he is in my prayers. Jamie has missed seeing him at LBK this summer and asks about him often. Please take care of yourself and remember that Nothing is impossible with God. (Luke 1:37) Please don't hesistate to ask if there is anything that myself or my family can do for you or yours.

Misty,
I enjoyed having dinner with your entire beautiful family last week. A few things I learned from Will:

Smile, most everyone will smile back
most people really do care
most people really do want to help
most people really are nice
enjoy the moment
give love unconditionally
you don't need words to really communicate
love, eldest

My Dear Friend, Misty that is exactly what you are. How could I have gone through all I have in the past few years, months, weeks and days without your unconditional love, friendship and caring! My girls and I were blessed with to have such an incredible friend!! Now it's my turn so please let me try in some measure to be the friend you have always been to me. Will is an angel. Every time I think of him, I hear him calling Katie and when he sees her that incredible smile that just lights up his whole face. This is the hardest thing you will ever have to go through in your life and I am here for you. I will be there in a moment if you need me. I love you all!!

Misty, I would like to thank you for allowing me to become part of your family. The joy and love I feel is immearsurable. Will and Nicole are always so happy and loving. Even if Will doesn't feel well he is a love and of course Nicole is always and forever our Princess. I feel so special after my last visit because I got the ear caress. What more could you ever need? To see those smiling eyes and hear the laughter from them both is amazing. I want you to remember above all else you and your family always have me....nothing will ever come between me and whatever you may need. Even when you don't need me my heart is with you. We are wonderwomen most of the time but we still need help, PLEASE ASK your sanity may depend on it. Your strength and faith in something good will sustain you, sometimes it won't feel like it and that's when your family and friends step in. Love You All, Kelly

I can't imagine the struggle between caring for both Nicole and Will. Every day I think of you all. I hope and pray for success in any and every treatment option you have. I know how strong you are and that you can do this. Push the doctors and nurses. Ask for anything you need. Demand their attention if you have to. My other prayer is for you to show yourself the same compassion that you show to your children. You are human. Allow yourself to be mad, angry, sad, hurt... and happy whenever possible. Avoid negative people and energy and focus on surviving this. I love you all.

Everytime we see Will, he is smiling. Everytime we've spent time with your family (and in your home), WE'VE smiled and laughed. You all deserve nothing but smiles and laughter in return. THIS just isn't right. No family deserves this. Reality makes no sense, does it?. BUT so many people love you and your sweet family. We do, too! We will pray for you...pray HARD!! Another reality is that miracles and great research are out there - and we will pray for that, too. Lexie, Justin and Aubree send their hugs to Will and Nicole...and you! All our love.
